Does the contraceptive pill protect against cancer?

Aviane 28 I have been taking the pill since 2012 I was wondering if taking the pill can protect against certain types of cancer in women.

Hello ma'am,

Taking hormonal contraception can increase (very very slightly) the risk of certain cancers. I haven't found a protective effect though. Keep in mind that hormonal contraception is generally considered safe.
