Is the contraceptive pill effective despite diarrhea?

I have a stomach bug. I am on birth control pills and Monday night I was taking the first pill of my 2nd week. I had unprotected sex on Sunday night and I have a stomach bug so I threw up my pill Monday night 1 hour after taking it. I took another pill at 4:30 and I haven't thrown up since. On the other hand I have a strong diarrhea
