There is no problem taking your contraceptive continuously for more than 3 months.
Continuous use is associated with several benefits: increased contraceptive efficacy, control over the menstrual cycle, reduced impact of menstruation on quality of life and a reduction in migraines during the discontinuation period.
If bleeding occurs after one or more months of using your pill and and they persisti suggest that you stop taking pills for 4 days, then resume taking them continuously. The fact of having light bleeding does not affect the effectiveness, so you can try to continue your pill and see if they persist before stopping for a few days.
