I don't have any bleeding while I'm off my contraceptive?

31-year-old womana year ago
I have been taking the birth control pill (YAZ) continuously (4-5 months) for a long time. For the past two years, I have noticed that when I decide to stop (i.e. take the 4 placebo pills to get my period), my periods are not heavy. The last two times I decided to menstruate, I had all the symptoms before menstruating but without "blood". However, if I continue the pill too continuously, I have blood loss which is normal according to my research/doctor. I'm starting to worry that when I decide to go down in my week, all the symptoms are present but no bleeding.

Good morning, Mrs,
Taking this contraceptive prevents ovulation and other menstrual cycle processes for all intents and purposes, so that bleeding during the withdrawal period is not menstruation, but withdrawal bleeding that is in no way helpful to your health or fertility.
That being said, the absence of bleeding, even during the withdrawal period, does not indicate a problem, and this is even reported by the manufacturer in the product monograph.
I hope this has been reassuring to you and I am available if you have any further questions!
