How long does it take to get rid of a kidney stone?

Question

I went to the hospital with tremendous back and abdominal pain. I was scanned and found to have a 3mm stone in my kidney. On the scan it was almost to my bladder. Is it normal that it hasn't come out yet? That was on Sunday. Today is Thursday and I still haven't seen the stone come out. I still have pain. I drink a lot of water every day. Okay. Thanks, it makes me feel better to know that it's normal for it to be so long :)

The important thing is that you have been examined, and the appropriate treatments have been prescribed/administered.
