Would my pharmacist be able to give me a prescription for a mammogram?

69-year-old woman2 years ago
My family doctor used to give me a prescription for a mammogram every year due to my family history, I am enrolled in the screening program but it is every 2 years. As of August 2021, I no longer have a family doctor and I am trying to get a walk-in but after many attempts, online, on the phone and even at the clinic, I have been unable to get one.

Good morning, ma'am,
Unfortunately, breast cancer screening using mammography is beyond the scope of practice of pharmacy, particularly since the reading and interpretation of the results can only be done by radiologists and forwarded to a physician
Basically, the pharmacist is not trained or empowered to interpret the results of such an examination.
If you have not already done so, I invite you to check the resources below:
Bonjour Santé (for a fee)
registration window for a family doctor
Sincerely
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
