My baby has a swollen eye, can the pharmacist prescribe a product?

My 15 month old son has swelling under his left eye and I also notice redness in his conjunctiva. Can the pharmacist prescribe drops if necessary? To find out if his situation requires a visit to the doctor

Hello, Madam,
Does the eye have discharge? If so, what color is it when he wakes up? Does he have other symptoms such as a runny or stuffy nose, or has he had these symptoms recently?
Thank you for your help!

No, there is no discharge from the eye at this time. And he has never had any symptoms of coughing, runny nose recently or currently
thank you!

Thank you very much for the feedback!
In the vast majority of cases, this problem is viral in origin and will resolve itself without treatment
For now, just keep the area clean with a damp washcloth. Do not share or re-use the washcloth. Do not be concerned if it appears in the other eye, it often does
You can instill artificial tears such as Refresh Tears, Systane Ultra or Hydrasense drops if you notice any discharge/accumulation or discomfort in your child.
If the swelling increases, if the situation persists for more than a week without improvement, or if other symptoms occur such as greenish discharge, a doctor should be consulted as a precaution.
I hope that I have been helpful to you and I remain available if you have any further questions
