Can a pharmacist prescribe Decadron?

Good evening, My 16 month old boy is getting laryngitis again. Every time he starts to run out of his nose and starts coughing, it's going towards a laryngitis (this would be the 3rd time since March). It is difficult to get an appointment with the doctor and spending 12 hours in the hospital for his age is not easy. We have lowered the temperature in his room, put the bed at an angle, water, motrin and humidifier in his room.

We also did the syringe technique for the secretion before he went to bed.

Hello, sorry to read about your troubles!
unfortunately, pharmacists cannot prescribe this type of medication because it requires a medical evaluation to rule out other causes
You did the right thing with the nasal spray, continue to use it as often as necessary during the day, there is no maximum number in a day. Also encourage your child to drink as much as possible.
I hope this was helpful, please feel free to ask any other questions you may have
