Can the pharmacist refill my Flovent prescription even if I haven't taken it in a few years?

Period of difficulty breathing. I'm not asthmatic but I have one (or more) prescription pumps. For the moment I only have Ventolin but I have also had Flovent and Bricanyl.

Thank you for your question!
There are several criteria to assess, including whether the prescription is still valid, the documentation available in your medication file, and your pharmacist's judgment.
In the case of an expired prescription, pharmacists may extend a prescription in order not to interrupt a chronic treatment, while waiting for your next follow-up appointment. Your best option is to contact the pharmacy directly and speak to the pharmacist on duty to find out more.
At the time of writing, I would suggest that you not only speak to a member of the technical staff, but also to the pharmacist on duty.
Sincerely
Tom Samaha, Pharmacist
