Can the pharmacist re-prescribe my asthma pump if it has expired?

Hello, I am bronco-asmatic and since one week I have the shortness of breath. My pumps have expired and I have no more refills. Can the pharmacist intervene in this situation? My last prescription was for pneumonia in 2019.

I forgot to mention that this symptom came on after an event where I smoked marijuana for the first time. The remaining Flovent makes me feel good 😌

Hello,

Depending on the information on your last prescription (date written, number of refills, dosage, etc.), the pharmacist may sometimes be able to extend your prescription.

Since I don't have enough information to give you an exact answer, I advise you to go to the pharmacy where you received your pumps. The pharmacist will thoroughly analyze your file and will be able to tell you what steps to take.
