In children under 6 years of age, use is completely contraindicated, regardless of whether or not the child has asthma. In the case of an asthmatic child, he or she will always be best treated with inhaled (breathing) pumps. Delaying the use or prescription of pumps with products like this one could indeed be dangerous.
