Several small red spots have appeared on my forearms and arms. Could this be an allergic reaction?

Some pimples are grouped together and form small, more or less circular patches and others are more widely spaced.

Hello Ma'am,
I'll have a few questions to get you started:
  • How long have these pimples been appearing?
  • Have you had any allergies in the past?
  • Has the area where the pimples appeared been in contact with an irritating chemical or allergen (Ex: detergent, rubber, plants, cosmetic product...)?
  • Do these pimples seem to be lined up along your arms? And are they accompanied by burning, tingling or stabbing pain?
  • Have you started any medication recently? (Ex: antibiotic, anti-epileptic, etc)
  • Do you have any other symptoms (fever, difficulty breathing, palpitations...)?

Good morning,
They appeared yesterday morning. It's already much less red today, but they are still present. They were accompanied by a slight itchiness, which is now gone. I applied last night polysporin. Otherwise, no other symptoms. The answer to all other questions is no. I was at work on Tuesday pm. I took advantage of the nice weather by working on my balcony. Do you think this is due to the sun? I've never had this kind of reaction before. Other than the fact that I mowed the lawn at the end of the day, I have not made any changes to my habits or products used. Normally it's my spouse who does the mowing.

Sometimes sunburn can be accompanied by papules or blisters. You can apply cold wet compresses, calamine lotion or even aloe vera-based gels to relieve the itching. Be sure to wash the lesions regularly with soap and water, especially if the pimples break out. Once the skin is intact, you can apply an unscented moisturizer.
If the problem doesn't resolve after 7 days or if you have any of the symptoms I mentioned in the previous questions, see a doctor.
