I have had a small bump on my lower eyelid for a few days. But this morning it seems bigger. Should I consult a doctor? Can the pharmacy give me some drops? I think it could be a stye...

Hello!
According to your description, it does indeed look like a stye. Is the bump sensitive to the touch?
If not, you have no symptoms in your eye (colored discharge, pain in the eye and not the eyelid, decrease in the field of vision, sensitivity to light)?
If the bump is tender to the touch and you answer no to the above questions, you may have a stye. The treatment for a stye is to make compresses of boiled water for 10 minutes 4 times a day until it is resolved. Antibiotic eye ointments are not necessary for this indication.
I hope to answer your question,
Laurie Laberge, pharmacist
