I have a white discharge with small blood clots. What should I do?

I am currently 17 days late with my period, I have been trying for baby for 1 year and I am an irregular person. I always have white discharge but for the last 2 days I have had little blood clots in it? Small cramps in the stomach sometimes but it is endurable! However, when I wipe myself there are no traces of blood that could be menstruation. What does this mean? Thanks in advance

Hello Ma'am, This could mean a number of things, and it is difficult to identify the exact source of this small bleeding with the description you are giving at this time. Indeed, this bleeding could be from irritation following sexual intercourse, or simply the presence of a vaginal infection. One thing is for sure, we cannot link this bleeding to the presence, or absence, of a pregnancy beyond a shadow of a doubt. I would suggest that you take a pregnancy test in connection with your delayed periods. If you have had one in the last few days and it was negative, be aware that pregnancy hormone doubles in concentration in the urine about every 2 to 3 days, and a negative pregnancy test 3 days ago could well be positive this morning.
