I have pinkish and then brownish discharge and now blood that turns brownish, is this an infection?

Is this happening outside of your usual period? And what type of birth control are you taking?

In such a case, it is unlikely to be an infection. Unless you have belly pain or discharge of a particular color and odor, it is more likely that it is simply spotting, blood loss outside of menstrual periods.

I recommend that you simply keep an eye out. If spotting happens like this again in the next 2 cycles, we'll go see a doctor.
