Do you think it is serious? Is it related to the lungs? What should I do?

Hello, I got the covid. I have been negative for 1 week. It was quite intense and then towards the end, the cough was resistant even I started to have a little fever again and after seeing a doctor and doing a lung x-ray, they discovered a small infection in the lungs so the doctor prescribed me the antibiotic azithromycin 250 mg for 5 days. The cough went away and I recovered. However, since 2 days when I breathe I have pain in my ribs on the left side. Even when I touch my ribs on the left side it is painful. I don't understand why. Could the antibiotic be the cause, even though the antibiotic lasted from June 11 to 15 and I started having pain in my ribs on June 21?

Hello,
This antibiotic remains in the bloodstream 5 days after the last dose, so until June 20 in your case. It would be unlikely that it was the antibiotic that caused the pain.
However, it may be your infection that is not completely gone. Many questions also remain about the symptoms of COVID that may persist even after healing.
It would be safer for your doctor or nurse to re-examine you to be safe.
Have a nice day.
