Hello Ma'am,
Your pharmacist can monitor (to a point) your treatment, so there is, theoretically, no maximum duration of extension. The goal is to prevent a treatment interruption. As long as your pharmacist/neighbor judges the medication to be effective and well tolerated, I see no problem with continuing it.
Cordially,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

Thank you very much, your answer reassures me, until I find a new doctor something rather difficult!

It was my pleasure! Have you signed up for the orphan access desk?

Yes, since December I have received a letter inviting me to use the GAMF which is not really a family doctor, I'm not sure he would see me just to renew my prescription.

Not just for this but if you ever need to see a doctor, it can make access easier :) I encourage you to sign up if you haven't already
