Hello, if you really only have dry skin, you can try applying GLAXAL BASE cream or AQUAPHORE at least twice a day. Avoid baths or showers that are too hot or that last too long, as this tends to promote dry skin, as well as scented soaps (favor a mild, neutral soap such as Dove or Ivory).
However, it is also possible that it is not dry skin or not only that. In fact, it is possible that it is a fungal infection. It is even more possible if you have a tendency to accumulate moisture in this area (humid environments are very conducive to fungal infections. One of the characteristics of this type of infection is normal looking skin in the center of the infection site with skin around the periphery of the infected area that is swollen, red and scaly. If it looks like this, it is most likely a fungal infection.
This type of infection can be treated with antifungals. Over the counter at the pharmacy, you can use antifungal creams such as canesten (clotrimazole) that you can apply twice a day until the problem is resolved + 1 more week of application to promote complete healing and prevent the lesions from reappearing.
Note that healing may take several weeks in the case of dry skin or fungal infection.
If in doubt or if none of these means seem to be effective, consult a doctor (not in the emergency room, as this is not an emergency case).
