We are leaving for a trip on January 4th. I'm afraid my daughter will get an ear infection before we leave. Can we give her antibiotics to prevent it?

Hello Ma'am,
No, we do not give antibiotics as a preventative in this type of situation. This could increase the risk of the ear infections your daughter has becoming resistant to the antibiotics we usually use.
In lieu of antibiotics, I would suggest doing the Baby Fly or Sinus Rinse™ (depending on her age) twice a day until you leave. And as much as possible avoid greatly reducing the quality and quantity of sleep she gets between now and departure.
True to your heart,
