When can we resume sports after an IUD insertion?

I went to have my hormone-free IUD (mona lisa 5) inserted yesterday morning and I would like to know if there were any particular indications regarding resuming sports (running specifically) following the installation of an IUD. Right now, I still have occasional pain and I still bleed a little, but I take ibuprofen every 4 hours to prevent stomach aches. As soon as I'm better, I'd like to start running again, but first I'd like to make sure there are no risks to that (i.e. the IUD moving or other risks). Thank you for your answer!

Hello!
Sports and running do not cause the IUD to move. So it is safe to return to your sporting activity without any problems as soon as you feel fit enough to do so. Pay attention to your body and wait until the pain caused by the IUD insertion is relieved before resuming. Finally, at any time, if you feel discomfort, pain, contractions or any other symptom that worries you, a medical consultation would be appropriate. In other cases, there is no risk! :)
