Apart from nasal showers and regular pumping (asthmatic children), what else should I do?

Hello, my 19 month old son has fever, cough, runny nose... he has to have tubes put in on December 15... since April 2022, he has already had 11 ear infections, we have been waiting for 6 months, we don't want to be put off for the operation... I feel like he is having another ear infection.

Good morning, ma'am,
Does your child have a fever right now? If so, for how many days?

since yesterday, around 6 pm..

Thanks for the feedback.
Acetaminophen (Tylenol, Tempra and other brands) is the best solution for fever. I strongly encourage nasal hygiene with saline solution and a baby wipe as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before naps.
If the fever persists for 72 hours or if his condition deteriorates, a doctor should be consulted.
I will remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
