If I am happy with my body now as a teen, do I still have a risk to getting anorexia or bulimia when I am older?

Hello, I was in remission from a severe depression that required hospitalization, my things were going well, I was taking Trintellix 10mg + 1.0mg of Rexulti. I wasn't in top shape yet but I was definitely getting better. Being a former gym workout addict, I had the bad idea to take Oxandrolone (anavar) as an anabolic steroid to increase my performance at the gym. 10 days after starting Oxandrolone 40mg/day, my symptoms completely relapsed. I stopped the Oxandrolone thinking that it could be the cause, it's been 7 days since I stopped. In the same period I had a treatment of Celecobix 200mg/day for 14 days. I am writing today because my depressive symptoms are still present. Obviously, I bitterly regret my lack of judgment. Thank you

Hello, thank you for your question!
It is difficult to answer with certainty. Usually with mood disorders, the underlying cause needs to be treated, but it is rarely unique. However, the supplement you took may indeed be one of the causes. Stopping it is the first step, you did the right thing, but you don't have to be so hard on yourself!
How long have you been taking Trintellix and Rexulti? Have you discussed this increase in symptoms with your doctor?

Hello ,
thank you for your answer , in my situation there were no external psychological factors or stressors that could explain my relapse besides the oxandrolone or else 🤷🏼♂️.
I discussed with my doctor about the relapse without telling him about the oxandrolone being too uncomfortable .
Increasing Rexulti to 1.5mg and in 7 days increasing Trintelix to 15mg.
To be continued.
We are hanging in there, thank you very much

I was pleased to hear that, I wish you good luck for the future and invite you not to hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions!
However, I want to reassure you that your doctor will not judge you for using this product. I suggest that you simply mention it to him at your next follow-up. This will only make him better equipped to help you :)
