Can my pharmacist prescribe a different contraceptive if I have side effects?

Hello, I am 22 years old, I am in good health, I do not take any medication and have no history of depression or anxiety. I have been taking the Yasmin pill since I was 15 and have always had a major lack of libido which causes conflict/confusion with my partners (and myself mostly). I love my boyfriend and it's not a lack of desire or attraction that's getting in the way of my libido, I just don't feel the need to have sex. (Which was not the case before taking the pill). I want to know if I can ask my pharmacist to prescribe me a different long-term birth control pill without having to see my family doctor.

I have been taking the Yasmin pill since I was 15 and have had a major loss of libido since then which has caused conflict/confusion with my partners (especially me). I just don't have any need to have sex and it's not the lack of desire or attraction towards my boyfriend. It's history repeating itself and I want it to stop. I wanted to know if I can ask my pharmacist to prescribe me a new long-term contraceptive pill without having to make an appointment with my doctor

Hello Mrs,
Unfortunately, your pharmacist cannot prescribe a different contraceptive than the one you are already taking. You will have to consult your doctor to properly assess the situation, rule out other causes and consider alternatives.
