My right ear is still not fully open and my voice is hoarse?

49-year-old womana year ago
Hello, I am sick since the week of December 12, 2022. It started with a little earache that I thought I could solve by myself with the medicines I had at home but in the week of December 19, 2022, I decided to consult a doctor because my right ear was painful and blocked. So I took a 10 days antibiotics for an otitis. 1 month later, on January 17, 2023, my ear is still not right but no pain only uncomfortable. I feel like I am congested and it makes me cough and sometimes gives me headaches.

Thank you for the information.
If your ear is not completely blocked, I suggest nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, we can reduce the feeling of pressure in the sinuses and prevent them from flowing backwards into the throat, which can be irritating and cause coughing.
I encourage you to consult your pharmacist to see if a decongestant nasal spray such as Dristan or Drixoral could be added for you for 3-5 days. This can help with blocked ears as well.
If it persists beyond that time or gets worse, I'm afraid you will need to see a doctor again as a precaution.
I will be available if you have any further questions!
