Ear that was almost starting to become completely unclogged. Ear that was completely blocked since the beginning of the antibiotics.

Question

Little pain in my left ear since this morning. Antibiotics end on December 31 (sinusitis and otitis). Small pain in my ear when I woke up. I had a treatment of antibiotics for 10 days which ended on December 31. I had no more pain in my ear and my ear was almost completely unclogged but not totally. I do sinus rinse 2x a day with cortisone. It was antibiotics for sinusitis and ear infection. Sinus rinse twice a day plus cortisone as prescribed by my doctor for my ear infection. The pharmacy told me to continue until the ear was completely clear. This morning, I have no more pain but my ear is still a bit blocked. I still have some secretions running down my throat.

Hello Mrs Have you tried anything for these symptoms? Do you have other symptoms such as a blocked or runny nose, even a little? Thank you for your help! Thanks for the feedback! Since you are still experiencing discharge I would suggest continuing Sinus Rinse as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bed if your ear is not completely blocked. Taking Tylenol may help relieve the pain. If it persists for more than 7 days without improvement or worsens, or if other symptoms occur, you should consult again.
