My uncle has shingles, if my son goes to visit him, is it dangerous for him to bring the "virus" home?

Hello Ma'am, there is indeed a risk of transmission of the virus (in the form of chickenpox if the person putting themselves at risk has never had chickenpox or in the form of shingles if that same person has had chickenpox), via;
  • direct contact with the affected person (contagious person as long as the lesions have not become crusted)
  • indirect contact, especially if Shingles is "disseminated", which is possible in immunosuppressed people or when staying 1 hour or more indoors.
For all these reasons, I suggest you wait ( or make sure) that the person is no longer contagious before going to visit.
I hope I have answered your question.
