Is it necessary to give a vitamin D supplement to my 2.5 year old?

I have a two and a half year old. He is drinking less and less milk throughout the day and is not accepting much dairy during the day. He takes a little less than a cup in the morning but refuses his drink more and more at other times of the day. I am afraid that his vitamin D needs are not being met.

Good evening,
From October to April living at our latitude, or year round if we go outside always coated with sunscreen, we should all take vitamin D daily. I encourage you to find a pharmaceutical form that he would appreciate.
