Can I take Naprosyn 500 mg or more Advil? Ad how many mg.

Question

My throat is very sore. Waiting for a covid test tomorrow (nurse) or I will go for a strep. I tried everything today to relieve. Advil 125mg and aceta 250mg taken x 2 co at 8:30- and at 4pm this am. At 5:15pm I took 200mg of advil supp. Currently still not relieved and swallowing is terrible... can I take Naprosyn or more Advil? How much?

Hello, No, you cannot take naproxen in addition to Advil. The dose of Advil is one 200mg tablet every 6 to 8 hours, always with food. Your pharmacist can prescribe a higher dose if you have no contraindications. If you want to take naproxen, you will have to wait at least 8 hours after the last Advil and vice versa, again after checking with your pharmacist if it is safe for you :).
