I have red patches on my body and face and I think they are due to my heart medication?

Hello, since September 2021 red patches appear intermittently on my forearms, elbows and face. Blisters at the level of the eyes can also occur, and sensations of heat accompany these states. For information and following an episode of arrhythmia that occurred in September 2021, a medication was prescribed to me by the Montreal Heart Institute - Flecainide 50 mg. As soon as I took it, reactions appeared and I stopped taking it after 4 or 5 days. For information, I take Sotatol 80mg daily and I am 72 years old.

Hello Sir!
If I understand correctly, the red patches started to appear after starting flecainide? Was the treatment changed to sotalol, or was it added?
Did you consult your pharmacist about the rash, or did you try anything for it?
Thank you for your time!

Hello,
The flecainide replaced the sotatol for 4, 5 days.
I am back on sotalol since
I have not tried anything
I had discussed the problem with flecainide with the pharmacist at the time who advised me to return to the cardiology institute.

Thank you for the information, but I agree with your pharmacist that you need to see a doctor again to reassess your condition and needs.
Sorry I can't be more helpful at this time
