Hello,
being prone to migraines, I had my mirena IUD removed and replaced by a hormone-free copper IUD at the end of 2021.
since the copper IUD my periods are very heavy and painful but I had been warned and my migraines have considerably decreased.
however, for a while now, my periods have been very close together and I have spotting between periods. I have been having "spotting" between periods. I have brownish spots and pinkish discharge during sex.
i also have pain in my uterus outside my PMS periods.
i have had these symptoms for about 3 months but it has been more intense in the last month.

All this can indeed be caused by the copper IUD. However, if your symptoms have been constant or persistent for the past 3 months, I would advise you to discuss the matter with your doctor in order to properly assess the situation and, if necessary, not to delay its management.
