Hello Ma'am,
When a cold strikes a person with asthma, the best thing to do is to use your pumps (especially if you have trouble breathing). Have you tried using your pumps...and which pumps do you take?

Yes I have been using my pumps every day since my cold, and nothing changes.I was prescribed ventolin and it doesn't really help.When I take my pumps I get more wheezing. I noticed yesterday blood in the mucus sputum when I cough I don't know if it's due to the fact that I cough a lot to clear my respiratory tract which irritates my throat or if it could be more serious.

When I use my pumps I take 2 puffs, sometimes I breathe a little better, but the feeling of having something blocking my breathing is still there.

If the blood was just small trickles after a cough, and this bleeding doesn't happen more than 1-2 times a day, there is no need to worry at this time. It is likely that this is caused by the fact that you are coughing a lot and your throat is very irritated. That said, if you're having a lot of trouble breathing, coughing and it's producing "foam" blood, you should go to the doctor immediately.
The presence of your symptoms and the fact that they didn't improve with the pumps also suggests a more serious infection, or that your pumps aren't effective enough. In either case, it would be best to seek medical attention.
I therefore recommend that you seek medical attention, if possible within the first two days (and sooner if the criteria mentioned in the beginning of this message are met).

Perfect, thank you so much for these answers, I am a little more relieved I don't have a family doctor and it's very hard to find a clinic that takes patients without a family doctor that comes from the clinic.If I don't see any improvement I will go for a consultation.Thanks!
