For several months (at least 8 months), I have had vaginitis that is not treatable, even with a treatment of fluconazole and taro-terconazole

Hello ma'am,
Is this a result of a doctor's diagnosis?
What are your symptoms exactly?

yes, I have a family doctor and following symptoms of vaginitis about 8 months ago (unusual whitish opaque discharge, feeling of having pressure on my stomach), I did a vaginal culture and it was positive. Since then, I have not been able to get rid of it. We do a culture on average every month and a half. But the results are never negative. Despite the fluconazole treatment (1x week) that I have now and the intra taro-terconazole cream on occasion, I feel that there is still something wrong.
I do absolutely everything that is advised to limit the risks of vaginitis (drink a lot of water, cotton underwear, probiotics, no vaginal shower, only soft soap without perfume, no humidity).
I am desperate and I don't know what else to do.

Thank you for the information, I'm sorry for the delay in my response, I hadn't seen the notification!
You seem to have already taken the necessary steps to prevent this. Vaginitis occurs mostly when the flora is out of balance, so avoid at all costs the factors that can out of balance it. I would recommend not using any type of soap on this area and only using clear water. In addition to cotton underwear, I strongly suggest wearing loose-fitting clothing.
If applicable (since we are trying to explore avenues), it would also be appropriate not to use condoms or lubricants that have a perfume, flavor or spermicide.
Finally, since it could also be dryness, I would be inclined to suggest a moisturizer such as Replens to assess what to do next.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
