Should I take folic acid with methotrexate?

Hello! My daughter is 9 years old and she takes Methotrexate, the pharmacist told me that it destroys her folic acid, should I ask the doctor to prescribe it? Thank you

Folic acid supplementation may be prescribed to avoid some of the side effects associated with methotrexate use. Definitely to be discussed with the physician.
