I have bleeding even with Nexplanon?

Question about contraception I got the Nexplanon implant last month. My doctor told me that there would be a decrease in menstruation or even a stop to it. I have been menstruating for 7 days with a heavy flow. It doesn't seem to decrease. Is this normal?

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question! Indeed the absence of bleeding with Nexplanon is possible. However, this may in some people require 3 to 6 months.
