Can I still get pregnant if my tubes have been damaged?

37-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello. In 2019 I had an operation to have my tubes unclipped. I was told that it had failed because my clips were not in place and my tubes were necrotic...I don't know more unfortunately. For the past week I have had all the symptoms of pregnancy, heartache, dizziness, hot flashes, extreme fever and even colostrum. I gave birth in 2014. I did a pregnancy test and a line appeared in less than 5 minutes but a faint line.

Hello, Mrs,
The intensity of the color of the line is not important. If it is visible on a pregnancy test obtained from a pharmacy and performed at least from the first day of menstruation, the result can be considered valid and positive
As for your history, it is difficult to give an opinion without having all the necessary information. I invite you to discuss this with your family doctor and/or your surgeon.
Sincerely
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
