Taking melatonin while breastfeeding?

40-year-old woman4 years ago
Can I take melatonin even if I am breastfeeding at night? I have a little insomnia and my baby (7 months) does not sleep through the night. Thank you for your help!

Hello. Melatonin is present in breast milk, and we don't have enough data on its safety in infants to recommend it
Your baby is constantly "learning" to sleep, in addition to his nutritional needs, so it is normal that he does not sleep all night.
Don't hesitate if you have any other questions!
