What are the best things to do to promote faster healing? Should I do sinus rinses for example?

I am 7 weeks pregnant. My spouse has been diagnosed with bronchitis, probably viral, and I am starting to have a dry cough with discomfort in my throat. I would like to know how long I am contagious and what are the right things to do to avoid complications.

Hello Madam, in order to better advise you, would it be possible to know if you have other symptoms such as a blocked or runny nose, even a little? Have you tried anything for this problem?

Hello,
I had a little fever (max 38,3°), I now have a wet cough with mucus, sore throat, earache and headache.

I also have a stuffy nose that doesn't really run.

Thanks for the feedback.
For throat irritation, acetaminophen (Tylenol and other brands) is still the best treatment, as well as lozenges like Halls or Fisherman's Friend for local relief, as these options are safe during pregnancy.
For coughing, mucus discharge, and nasal congestion, I would opt for nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, you can reduce the backward flow of secretions, which often causes coughing.
I also encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot, as you prefer.
I hope I've been helpful, so please don't hesitate if you have any other questions!
