My son has been coughing for 2 weeks now. Especially when he sleeps. He is currently running a fever. He is in a good mood and has energy. However, we are worried because the coughing remains

Hello Sir,
Did the cough occur because of a cold or after a cold or other similar infection?
Does he have any other symptoms?
Have you tried anything for this problem?
Is your child currently receiving medication?
Thank you for your time!

He gets acetaminophen for children. I don't remember if he had a cold. He has a bit of a runny nose right now.

Thanks for the information!
I want to reassure you that coughing is often the last symptom to disappear, even several weeks after a cold has been cured.
The best treatment for this is nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as necessary during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime, and followed by the aspiration of secretions with a baby fly, depending on the age of the baby. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, we can reduce their backward flow, which often causes coughing. This is made worse when he goes to bed. It's a little uncomfortable but works wonders!
I also encourage you to give him plenty of fluids according to his preferences.
I hope I've been helpful, I'm always available if you have any other questions!
