What can I do to lose weight the healthy way?

25-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, every time I lose weight I gain it back. Eating healthy and balanced doesn't work anymore, my imc is 31 and I'm starting to feel it with knee pain. I don't have a family MD, I'm still on the waiting list. Is there any medication that can help me? I am still trying to gain weight in a healthy way! But I need a push

Hello, ma'am,
Sustained weight loss is indeed difficult for many people. Basically, it's a matter of burning more calories than you consume, and going gradually.
To this end, I strongly suggest a consultation with a nutritionist and a kinesiologist in order to develop a diet and exercise plan that is realistic for you. Most group insurances cover this type of service.
There are medications to help with weight loss but they must be prescribed by a physician after a thorough evaluation of your condition. As written, they are not a panacea and can cause adverse effects. You can discuss this with a doctor. You could try a walk-in clinic but nutrition and kinesiology consultations may also be mentioned.
Sincerely,
