How do I know if my medication is the right kind or dose? How do I know if it is too high or too low?

Hello! I am diagnosed with ADD and have been taking vyvance 40 mg for over a year. This is the first medication I have tried. However, I still have trouble concentrating, organizing my thoughts... Of course, there is a difference when I don't take my medication, but it's not a big difference. I have never had any side effects, even at the beginning, like loss of appetite or difficulty falling asleep...I also notice that when I take it, I have stomach aches and a desire to go to the bathroom, I don't know if it is related.

Hello,
You are the best person to judge the effectiveness of your treatment. If you are still having difficulty managing your attention and organizing your thoughts, I believe that an increase in the dose may be appropriate.
In this case, we must make sure that you tolerate the treatment well, you mention that you sleep well and that your appetite is not affected, which is very good! As far as stomach pain is concerned, Vyvanse can sometimes be the cause.
In your situation, I recommend that you talk to your pharmacist who will be the best person to judge if increasing the dose is safe for you. He or she may need to talk to your doctor!
If the dose is increased, it will be important to follow up on the efficacy, but in relation to the pain you mention and other side effects.
I remain available and hope to have answered your question,
