Hello, I would like to know if these drugs are contraindicated in case of pregnancy: Valaciclovir and rizatriptan. We are trying to conceive and I want to make sure I don't take anything that could harm the baby before I see the doctor for the first pregnancy follow-up appointment. Thank you very much

Hello,
valacyclovir does not carry any risk in pregnancy, and this at all trimesters
As for rizatriptan, few studies have been done in pregnant women. Rizatriptan does not appear to pose a risk of malformation in the baby, but there is an increased risk of prematurity. If a drug from the triptan family is absolutely necessary to treat a migraine, it is recommended to use another drug from the same family, Sumatriptan (Imitrex). Also note that Ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin) and any other anti-inflammatory medication is contraindicated in the 1st and 3rd trimester. Acetaminophen is safe throughout all 3 trimesters.
Have you started taking folic acid 0.4mg?

I take one materna tablet a day. Is the folic acid content high enough?

Yes, it's perfect.
