What medications are recommended or not recommended for a cold when you are 32 weeks pregnant?

Hello I am 32 weeks pregnant and I am starting a cold. I have a sore throat and a dry cough. What can I take to relieve the sore throat especially? Can I take products like Neo Lemon or tylenols for colds and sinus? Thank you Sara

Thank you for your question and congratulations!
Unfortunately, these products are not recommended during pregnancy (or breastfeeding for that matter).
You can take acetaminophen (Tylenol simple or extra strong), but not the cold or flu formulations
Non-pharmacological measures should be preferred
Lozenges such as Fisherman's Friend are safe during pregnancy, and can help with localized throat relief. They can be taken as often as needed.
For nasal congestion and runny nose, nasal hygiene with a saline solution like Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse can be done as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. This helps to reduce the mucus flow in the throat that often causes coughing. It's a little uncomfortable but works extremely well!
I hope I've been of some help to you, and if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
