Is the medication recommended? What are the side effects? I'm 27 years old, can it harm my health? Thank you

My doctor would like to prescribe ozempic for weight loss. I have a BMI of 42, but do not have diabetes.

Good morning, ma'am,
Ozempic has the official Health Canada indication for the treatment of obesity.
It could help to lose weight, in conjunction with a balanced diet and a realistic exercise plan. It should not be used alone.
Its most common side effects include injection site pain and nausea, the latter of which tends to diminish over time.
I hope that I have been helpful to you and remain available if you have any further questions!
