Thank you for the information. The corticosteroid spray can indeed help reduce the risk of irritation from the medication or the patch glue in particular

The spray is used instead of the cream because the cream may cause the patch to come off

Indeed it is a medication usually prescribed for inhalation, but it is also used for irritation at the patch application site. This is something that should have been mentioned to you :)
