Is this normal? Could the medication not have worked?

Hi, I took apo medroxy for 7 days recently. Usually I get my period 3 days after taking the last pill. I am currently at 4 days and I have only a little bit of spotting.

If you have had spotting, it means that you have indeed had your period. The medication has therefore worked.
The amount and type of spotting at the time of your period can vary depending on several factors beyond your control. This does not necessarily mean that there is a problem.
