This medication was prescribed by my dentist and I have not used it. Will it work for my UTI?

Hello,
No, Pen V is not effective in treating UTIs, as they are caused by bacteria like E. Coli that are not covered by the penicillin class.
If you have had a UTI treated with an antibiotic in the last 5 years, be aware that your pharmacist can prescribe the same treatment under certain conditions. All you have to do then is go to your local pharmacy to have a consultation with the pharmacist.
If not, you will unfortunately have to consult a doctor or a nurse authorized to prescribe. Note that if you are a healthy person and your symptoms are not severe (e.g. fever, lower back pain, nausea, chills), it is possible to wait 48-72 hours before consulting.

Thank you so much for your reply, I wouldn't take them.
I'll wait and see how it goes, it only started a few hours ago.
