Good morning ma'am,
I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
Unfortunately, it is impossible to determine the cause of the problem without testing. Having said that, have you tried anything for your symptoms? Are you currently taking any other medications?

Yes I take 1/2 quetiapine 25 mg a day due to my generalized anxiety as well as Tylenol/Advil since I had a wisdom tooth removed. my spouse and my 3 children between the ages of 2&7 had it as well as several other people around us.My doctor did not send us for flu tests as she was sure that was what the children had as it was in the daycare. My family is still having symptoms as the last person who started having symptoms was 5 days ago.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm sorry for my delay!
You did well with Tylenol and Advil, you can continue if you tolerate them and if you have no contraindications to take them (your pharmacist will be able to confirm this).
If you have nasal congestion or discharge, even a little, or a cough, I strongly suggest nasal hygiene with saline solution as often as necessary during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. I also encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot, as you prefer.
An episode of influenza may take 7 to 10 days to resolve but it may take a little longer for some people.
I will be available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
