What else can my husband take besides Advil/Tylenol to relieve hand-foot-and-mouth disease?

Advil and Tylenol are the best options for pain, but I also suggest applying a fragrance-free moisturizer such as Aveeno to the lesions as often as desired during the day. The cream can even be placed in the refrigerator to increase its soothing effect.

If the pain is intolerable or not relieved at all with Advil /Tylenol, a doctor should be consulted for a thorough evaluation of the condition as a precaution.
