I have very fragile nails?

70-year-old woman2 years ago
I am 67 years old, I have rusty nails. For a few months now, they have been extremely fragile, breaking at the slightest shock. I even have some that want to split on the height, in these cases, I cut them very short. Is it a lack of vitamin (I have been taking calcium (500 mg twice a day) and vitamin D (10 000 ui / week) for several years)

Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
The only way to detect a deficiency, if there is one, is with a blood test. You will need to see your doctor who will thoroughly evaluate your condition, and either order such a test if his or her judgment indicates, or suggest treatment. I therefore invite you to make an appointment with your doctor, or to visit a walk-in clinic, in order to receive a consultation personalized to your needs.
Cordially
