If I am low on iron, what can I do to compensate?

My last blood test showed a CGMH level of 325 g/l. Does this mean I am iron deficient? I am a 78 year old woman and do not have a family doctor.

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question!
Usually, ferritin is used, along with other supporting parameters such as hemoglobin and mean corpuscular volume, to name a few.
The diagnosis of anemia is not only made with laboratory values, but also following a medical evaluation
Have you discussed the results of your last blood test with your health care professional?
Have you registered for a family doctor here?

I had a specimen because I had to have an MRI with an iodine injection. I had the MRI, and then the result, but no follow-up on the sample.

Yes, I am registered at the access desk, I was also assigned an FMG, but I can't get through to a provider. I would like to be followed by a doctor! I have been feeling more tired and dizzy for a while, is there any supplement that could help me?

Thanks for the feedback!
I'm glad you're registered with an FMG :). If reaching a professional remains difficult, I suggest trying to make an appointment with the rendez-vous santé Qc platform.
At this time, I do not recommend any supplements, unless a deficiency has been diagnosed. I would only recommend that you eat a diet that is as close as possible to the recommendations of the Canada Food Guide:)
